San Jose Las Juquilitas Group's story

This group is called San José las Juquilitas. The members decided upon this name because they are very devoted to the virgin of Juquila. The group is located in the town of San Miguel de Progreso. The San José las Juquilitas group has over ten members. Gregoria is the group representative. She has a high school education.

The group is comprised of 13 members, 11 women and 2 men. Brenda is one of the members. She is 37 years old, and she has a high school education. She has three daughters and a son who are very hard-working and intelligent. Brenda makes pastry. She has always liked making cakes. When she was a girl she sold cakes door to door.

However, with time and savings she was able to buy her things and make her own desserts and cakes in her house. She has a lot of customers. The reason that she requested the loan is to be able to rent a spot to be able to sell her cakes there. She wants the people who go to the town of San Juan del Progresso to taste her cakes and come back to see her.

She would like to use her earnings to make one of the best pastry shops in San José del Progreso. She wants this in order to have a better quality of life for her and for the people who she loves the most. That would be her husband, Pablo, and her children; Brenda, Miriam, Lourdes, and Gustavo.

The other 12 members of the group are:

María del Carmen-sells shoes
Elena –sells food
