A loan of $375 helped to buy coffee plants.

Teofila's story

Teofila, age 47, lives with her life partner, Marcial, and their three children. The children go to school. They live in San Antonio, which is in the beautiful Ayacuchan jungle, where they have their own house.

Teofila says that everything they have been getting stems from tenacity and the dedication to her cacao, coffee, and banana crops. That is why she tries to give her crops the best care. By doing this a lot of her buyers have been pleased with the quality of her products. She therefore tries, together with help from her life partner, to take great care in devoting more time with her crops. However, during harvesting times she needs the help of field workers. This way she is able to gather the crop production more quickly.

Her plan for the future is to invest her earnings in a different type of business like raising guinea pigs.

This will be her fourth loan. She is very happy to know that she can once again count on your support. She is prepared to make her payments punctually. She is a very helpful member of her communal bank. She will use the money from the loan to buy coffee plants. She will do this in order to increase her crops and to get greater income when the plants are mature.
