Virgen Del Carmen Group's story

This committee was formed by Teresa and Edelida who had come to Fundación Paraguaya's office to find out more about the 'Comité de Mujeres Emprendedoras' (Committee of Entrepreneurial Women) program. They invited their friends and people from their neighborhood to form a group in order to get ahead in life and improve their living standards. There are 17 hard-working and unassuming women in this group who must earn a living every day.

Blanca's business is selling all kinds of food such as burgers, empanadas, tortillas, etc. She is in charge of selling her own products. Every day she gets up very early in order to prepare the food which she later sells. She describes herself as a very hard-working and responsible person.

Blanca is requesting this loan to buy the ingredients that she needs to make her food.

In this group: Edelida, Blanca, Liz, Teresa, Maria, Graciela, Laura, Del Rosario, Maria, Mirian, Graciela, Blanca, Edith, Elva, Laura, Maria, Gilda
