A loan of $2,700 helped a member to purchase all types of clothing for stock.

Mujeres Unidas Al Progreso Group's story

The formation of this committee was an initiative of Mrs. Carmen, who lives in Ciudad del Este. She got in touch with her neighbours and friends, telling them about this group of enterprising women, and they decided to form the committee in their zone. The committee currently has 16 members, of whom all participate actively and responsibly.
Mrs. Carmen is the General Director of the committee, and describes herself as a hard-working, responsible and modest woman who has always taken on this kind of responsibility--so this work is not new for her.
The group members sell all types of clothing. They are requesting this loan to increase the variety of their products, in order to be able to obtain garments for every season. This way they will be able to attract more customers, thus increasing their income.

In this group: Carmen *, Isabel *, Esther , Ramona , Ruth , Marta , Elva , Silvana , Pablina , Jorgelina , Limpia , Lucila , Hilda , María , Leticia , Laura
