A loan of $600 helped to purchase cosmetics for stocking her product line.

Emilce's story

Mrs. Emilce is 26 years old. She is a single mother with three children: Richar, 8, Daniel, 6, and Willian, 3. She lives in the city of Coronel Oviedo. Mrs. Emilce has been a merchant for ten years. She is a street vendor, that is, she sells general items in the street, such as stationery items, makeup, cosmetics, costume jewelry, playing cards and other items. She sells her wares in the areas surrounding her neighborhood.

She began with some small boxes of certain products, and from there grew bit by bit, with much effort. She comments that she gets up very early in the morning in order to care for her children and set everything straight in her home, so that she can go out and do her selling, which is how she supports her household. This business helped her raise and school her children.

For her the family is very important since she is a single mother. Her children are her reason for working day by day.

She is seeking the loan in order to be able to stock new merchandise such as cosmetics and similar items. She asserts that the loan will be of great use to her, since it will allow her to continue supporting her family.
