Likoni, Kenya / Food Production/Sales

A loan of $225 helped to purchase maize flour, cooking fat, oil and wheat flour.

Mwanahamisi's story

Mwanahamisi is a married woman with two children, both of whom attend school. She owns a house that has neither electricity nor piped water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food and medical bills.

For the past three years, she has operated a retail shop business, selling from home to her neighbours and passersby. Her major challenge is the high cost of transportation in the business. She dreams of expanding her business in the future.

With the Kshs 20,000 loan, she wants to purchase maize flour, cooking fat, oil and wheat flour. She decided to work with Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
