A loan helped a member to buy a new sewing machine for sewing business.

Jameelan's Group's story

Jameelan is married and has no children. To pass her time and to help her husband financially, she operates a sewing business. She learned this skill from her mother in her teenage years and now she is good at it. She receives orders from her community clients and earns well after completing the orders on time. She also knows how to do embroidery but doesn’t do it on a regular basis.

Her husband has a business doing floor polishing. He has a polishing machine and he uses it to polish floors. He is very good at his work and provides services to his customers for a reasonable fee.

Jameelan has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah to buy a new sewing machine which will help her finish orders on time. Her current machine has become old and takes much time to sew a single dress.

She has been operating her business for the past six years and is very hopeful that the investment will help her in making her business more profitable. She is a new loan applicant of Asasah.
