Frelly Roxana's story

The members of Mi Mundo Natural ("My Natural World") Community Bank meet every 15 days in the city of Portoviejo, which has been known as the "City of Royal Tamarind Trees" since colonial times. Here we find Frelly, who is 25 years old, married and has a 3-year-old son. Her husband owns a taxi and a truck. In order to earn her own income and not be dependent upon anyone, Frelly works as a merchant in her free time, selling products such as clothing, footwear and Yanbal-brand cosmetics via catalog. She sells door to door and works three days a week, most often in the afternoons when she is less busy. She sells the products on credit and collects every week or 15 days, depending on what her customers want. Frelly tells us that her best sellers are her perfumes and colognes since they are really good. She plans to use this loan to purchase footwear, perfumes, creams, cosmetics and clothing. She has been with the community bank for four years and likes it because the payments are easy to make. Her dream is to have a boutique.
