Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $2,150 helped to purchase a computer, legal documents, training materials and marketing materials.

Jeanett Lynn's story

Jeanett works full-time as a business analyst helping car dealers with computer issues. Motivated by her passion to help others, Jeanett decided to start her own personal assistant/concierge business on the side after almost 20 years in customer service. Her small business will generate revenue mainly through personal assistance services, concierge service and care services for the elderly. Clients are billed by the hour and have the option to purchase blocks of time at discounted rates.

Jeanette realizes the importance of protecting her businesses and her clients. She wants to obtain the necessary legal documents so she can be protected and so clients know what to expect.

With this loan from ACCION USA, Jeanett will be purchasing a computer, legal documents, training materials and marketing materials. She hopes to expand her business by 50% in the next year by incorporating more services. Jeanett is excited about being a new business owner and is looking forward to expanding her client base.
