A loan of $500 helped to buy farming supplies.

Leocadio Freddy's story

Leocadio, 48, is from the community of Palo de Lapa located in León Department. He’s married and has five children. He’s a basic grains farmer and also raises livestock. He started out at the age of 18 growing cotton with his father. He acquired experience in planting and caring for crops this way and hasn’t stopped working since. He has even worked with financing which has been of great help to him. He’d like to export his products directly to whoever will pay the best price for his crops because he’d like to diversify his crops. He asked for the loan to buy farming supplies to plant manioc, corn and sesame. He hopes to use this investment to expand his crops and improve his living conditions. In the future, he wants to grow peppers, tomatoes, onions and papayas.
