Portales Group's story

This group is called “Portales” and is located in the State of Puebla in México. It has 9 members and María is the group President. She is 58 years old and went up to 6th grade. She’s married and has three children. She raises livestock to sell and also has cows that produce milk that she sells to people in the community; she started this business 30 years ago. She is asking for a loan to buy more animals for her herd. Her customers are the general public. She is very excited about the loan because it gives her the opportunity to invest in livestock to increase her sales. She also hopes that with this loan and her effort she will be able to have a better quality of life for her and her family and to help her husband meet family expenses.
