A loan of $1,200 helped to buy vegetables in large quantities.

Nieves's story

Nieves and her husband are long-standing clients of our institution. They have three daughters and one son, and live in the community of Unni which is 20 minutes away from our institution in Chasquipampa. They do not have a very frequent bus service and the buses run to certain set timetables. Nieves' husband works as a radio taxi driver and Nieves herself sells vegetables in Rodríguez market three times a week. On those days, she goes out very early in the morning to buy vegetables from the ladies who produce them. She re-sells them later in the day. In her community, people produce products such as potatoes, peas, beans, etc.

At the moment, Nieves needs to increase her capital. She will buy merchandise (vegetables) wholesale since everything has increased in price. Nieves is a very hard-working person and is grateful to the institution for the support she has been offered.
