A loan of $300 helped to buy manure, fertilizer and insecticide.

Maria Alicia's story

María lives with her five children who are 16, 14, 11, 8 and 6 years of age; all go to school. María raises pigs and farms corn and beans. She pays laborers to do the tasks because they require a lot of hard work. She pays them $5.00 per day.

She is asking for a loan to buy manure, fertilizer and insecticide for the corn crops. With this loan she’ll have the opportunity to fertilize the corn fields on time and provide good treatment to obtain a good harvest which will be used partly for their own consumption and partly to sell.

María’s dream is to work to raise her children with an education so that they will have the chance to improve themselves.
