Florence's story

Florence has been in farming for eight years in her hometown of Kitale, with her farm producing eggs, maize, beans and tomatoes. She is married with seven children aged between 10 and 21 and all attending school.

Florence has requested a loan of 30,000 KES from Juhudi Kilimo to purchase poultry birds.She says the loan will improve her family's living standards and ensure her children have money for their education. She wants to have 1,000 birds and hopes she will be the main egg supplier in the area.

Poultry diseases are her main challenge.
