A loan of $550 helped to buy construction materials (stone, cement, iron, sand, etc.).

Gabriel Alberto's story

Gabriel was born in Magude District, Maputo Province in southern Mozambique. He is married and has two children, 3 and 6 years old. The eldest goes to school. Gabriel attends 12th grade and has never stopped studying. He lives in his own house with his family and does not support anyone else.

He left Magude to come to Maputo in search of his parents, who were already living in the city. He has worked for the Ministry of Education as a teacher for more than seven years and has a salary of 3,903 meticais per month. He uses this money for household expenses and has always been able to save some money in his bank account because his wife helps with household expenses.

Gabriel has never had loans from other banks. He learned about Hluvuku through coworkers who are also customers of this institution. This is his first loan, and he is asking for 15,500 meticais which he will use to buy construction material (stone, cement, iron, sand and other items) to continue construction on his house.

He is confident that he will pay off this loan with no problems, and he will ask for more loans to finish his house and make his family more comfortable.
