A loan of $950 helped a member to buy soil to sell.

Farzana's Group's story

Farzana is a 49-year-old married lady. She is involved in a dairy business. For this purpose, she has a buffalo at her home from which she gets milk that she sells to her community people for a profit. The income she earns helps her to manage the household expenses. Besides her dairy business, she also carries out her responsibilities of a housewife very well.

For the last seven years, her husband has been involved in the business of selling soil. He provides his product to different nurseries (garden centers) and earns reasonably good profits from it. She has given birth to three children. All of them stay at home and don’t do anything.

She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her husband’s business. With the loan, he will buy soil in bulk quantity to be able to fulfill the demands of his clients and increase his profits. Farzana hopes that the loan will be a profitable one for her husband and her family will be able to live a better financial life as a result.

She is a regular loan user of Asasah and this is her second loan application. In her previous loan year, she established good credit behavior and never missed a meeting.
