A loan of $1,300 helped a member to buy fresh seasonal fruit.

Naseema's Group's story

Naseema is a 43-year-old widow and doesn’t have any children. After the death of her husband, Naseema had a very difficult life. She started selling crockery and blankets to survive financially. She also sews clothes for her neighboring clients on order.

She lives with her nephew who sells fruit. His shop is in the market and he offers fresh seasonal fruit to his customers at cheap rates.

Naseema has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her nephew who wants to improve his business. With the loan, he will buy fresh seasonal fruit in larger quantity that will help him sell more and earn larger profits. He has been running his business for the past 10 years and Naseema is very hopeful that an investment will put a positive impact on his business and improve his profits.
