Ignacio's story

Ignacio is 55 years old. He has been married to 52 year-old Dominga for more than 25 years. They have two grown-up children.

Ignacio is the son of a farmer. He grew up in one of the companies of Carapeguá and worked in the fields with his father since he was a boy. At the age of 26, he married Dominga, who is the daughter of a weaver, and they started working together.

Ignacio has been selling traditional bedspreads and hammocks for more than 20 years. He takes them to Caaguazú district and Ciudad del Este and sells them to a well-established customer base. His wife, who is a craftswoman, knits the blankets that he sells and this saves them money.

Thanks to his work and the efforts of himself and his wife, Ignacio was able to build a beautiful home and thereby provide their family with an respectable and decent life.

Ignacio is requesting this loan to buy the supplies he needs to make his bedspreads and hammocks such as threads and needles, or sewing kits.
