A loan of $2,000 helped a member to buy sugar, palm oil and groundnut dough.

Kadiamor Group's story

The solidarity group was set up on 27th April 2008 and is made up of nine women who live in the same district and get on well with each other. Their main activity is small-scale trading.

Fatou, who is on the right of the photo with her hand raised, is in charge of the group. She is 53 years old, married and mother to four children. She also has four other children entrusted to her care.

She sells sugar, palm oil and groundnut dough. She has good experience in this field, having carried out this activity for the past three years.

This loan will allow her to boost her capital and to build up her business. The profits she makes will enable her to improve her family's living conditions (health, food, clothing, etc.) and to increase her savings.
