Sop Serigne Fallou Group's story

This solidarity group was founded on December 10, 2010. It has 23 women members from the same neighborhood. They are neighbors, relatives and friends. Their main activities are managing small businesses and sewing.

Mrs. Coumba, the leader of the group, is 35 years old, married and has two children. She is a seamstress and has a workshop at the market. She has a lot of experience in this field. In the photo, she is standing on the right and wearing a green and white dress.

She buys fabric in Dakar and Touba, then sews sheets, tablecloths, long skirts, and dresses, etc...and resells them in the village.

She hopes that with this loan she will grow and diversify her business so she can increase revenues.

Her profits will help her to improve her family's standard of living with regard to food, health, clothing and also help her to save more.
