A loan of $1,000 helped to purchase a milk cow.

Tania's story

Tania lives in the community of Cimarrón, Cartago, Costa Rica. She has made a living in agriculture all of her life. She decided to have her own livestock, and it's for this reason that she is requesting the loan of 500,000 colones to purchase a milk cow. She is very excited for this new project since she loves working with animals and likes to make dairy products like cheese and sour cream. Tania is confident that her income will improve so her family is very happy. She is a member of the Nuevas Esperanzas de Cimarrón community bank, one of 110 community banks with Kiva partner EDESA in Costa Rica.
