A loan of $200 helped to improve his business' infrastructure.

Vicente Daniel's story

Vicente, 24, lives in the city of León. He owns a barber shop. He studied English and also works as a translator. He started working at the age of 16 in a friend’s barber shop located in his neighborhood. This acted as his school and he learned everything he knows about barbering there. All this acquired experience motivated him to set up his own barber shop which he did at the age of 21 with capital of his own. To date, he’s been in business three years.

He requested the loan to do some improvements to the infrastructure and to the furnishings of his shop. He hopes to make it more attractive in order to increase his customer base. In the future, he’d like to have several barber shops with employees under his supervision throughout the city of León. His next goals are to study a university career and to establish another barber shop in downtown León.
