A loan of $2,350 helped a member to buy educational materials.

Minervas Group's story

The 'Minervas' community bank is about to start its third loan cycle with Pro Mujer, as part of the Villa Exaltación regional office. The group has eight members and is managed by a board of directors which is led by Evelin. The businesses that the members of the bank carry out are varied and include: commerce, production and services.

Evelin tells us that she has been a member of Pro Mujer for ten years. She joined through an invitation from a friend. Evelin currently has a business selling educational materials which she started ten years ago with the support of Pro Mujer.

Evelin will use this loan to increase her working capital, buying educational materials from publishers which she will then sell in her store from 8.00am to 6.00pm. This work enables her to make money with which to support her family. She is married and has three children.

When we asked Evelin what she likes about Pro Mujer, she replied that she likes the health training.
