A loan of $375 helped to buy manure to fertilize his land.

Constantino's story

Constantino is 59 years old and lives with his partner, 48 year-old Leonarda. The couple have six children and live together in their own home, in the village of Canayre, which is located in the majestic Ayacucho jungle.

In spite of not having a profession, Constantino has gained knowledge through years of experience. He has been farming for almost 45 years now. He learned how to manage his crops, harvest his crops and deal with them once harvested from his parents and for this he is eternally grateful to them. Constantino currently grows and sells cacao and coffee to big wholesalers. His business is providing him with good financial results but he knows that there is always still work to be done in this business. Generally, Constantino works by himself for 12 hours a day but sometimes he receives help from his family members. His plan for the future is to open a grocery store with the aim of having a competitive advantage over the other store owners, applying sales strategies such as offering good-quality products at a low price.

This is Constantino's first loan from MFP and he pledges to be punctual in making his repayments. He feels happy with the work of his community bank since they all welcomed him with a lot of warmth. Constantino would like to invest his 1,000 Peruvian soles in his upcoming sowing season when he will fertilize and plow the earth.
