Carmen Leonor's story

Carmen is 38 years old, single, and has no children. She lives at her mother’s house, which is located in the rural section of the District of Túcume. Her home has water and electricity services. The place where she lives is a small community with approximately 300 families.

Carmen raises and sells small animals. She has been in this business for several years. Carmen operates her business from home and learned this trade from her parents. She is known for being a perfectionist in her business and has ample space for raising pigs. To earn extra income, Carmen prepares and sells “chicha” (a Peruvian beverage made from corn and maize).

Carmen is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 2000 PEN so that she can invest in poultry to fatten and balanced feed for her chickens and pigs.

Carmen is a peaceful individual. The people who know her consider her to be an enterprising person who has great desire to succeed.
