A loan of $1,825 helped a member to buy fruit and vegetables to process into products to be sold.

And Bokk Jom Group's story

The solidarity group "And Bokk Jom" was created on September 10, 2010. It is on cycle 2, and it is composed of 14 women from the same district.

Ms. Nogaye, aged 37, is married and without children. She is the group's official and is active in processing fruit and vegetables. In the photo, she is standing at the right and dressed in white and pink. She gets her supplies from the weekly markets and resells in the village; she has good experience and has benefited from training in this food processing activity.

She would like to use her loan to expand her business, so as to have a lot of customers and profits. With the profits, she is helping to improve living conditions, in terms of food, clothing, and health care; she also plans on increasing her savings to apply for another, larger loan.

In this group: Oumou, Nogaye, Anta, Amy, Kine, Amy, Sokhna, Bousso, Maty, Amy, Ndeye, Sokhna*, Alassane, Saye
