A loan of $800 helped a member to buy more clothes.

Tariro Group's story

Tendai (in the middle) is 44 years of age and from the city Mutare, the capital of Manicaland province in Zimbabwe. She is divorced with five children ages 12, 15, 18, 21 and 23. Three of them are currently attending school.

Tendai runs a business selling clothes. The business has been in operation for 10 years. She says the main challenge faced is a lack of working capital. Tendai has requested a loan of $150 to boost her business stock by buying more t-shirts, blouses and warm-type clothing for winter. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to improve the family’s quality of life.

In the future, Tendai plans to have an improved and better functioning business.
