A loan of $1,125 helped a member to purchase livestock.

Torkunbubu's Group's story

Torkunbubu is the leader of this group. She is 49, married to a driver, and has four children. The older son is a farmer, the second son studies at university, and the other children attend school. The family breeds livestock to earn money. This year in order to earn additional money to meet their daily needs Torkunbubu started to sell Kyrgyz national drink, “Kumys” (horse milk). She is requesting a loan because she needs additional funds for expanding the business. Part of the loan will be used to purchase more “Kumys” and the other part will be used to purchase livestock for breeding. In the future, Torkunbubu wishes to purchase a big house in the village.
