A loan of $700 helped a member to buy embroidery materials for embroidery business.

Rozina's Group's story

Rozina is a 31-year-old lady, married with two children. She couldn’t provide education to her children due to financial constraints. She supports her family financially by sewing clothes for her neighboring clients. She found the need of doing this work few years ago when she observed that her husband’s income alone was not enough for fulfilling the basic needs of the family.

She has applied for a loan from Kiva partner Asasah for her brother-in-law who wants to improve his embroidery business. With the loan, he will purchase embroidery materials such as beads, colored thread and sketches in bulk that will allow him to fulfill the demand of his customers and provide them quality services.

He has been operating this business for the past five years and Rozina hopes that after the investment, his business will grow further.

This is the 2nd time Rozina has applied for a loan. In the previous loan year, she never missed a single meeting and paid her installments on time.
