A loan of $2,500 helped a member to buy soft drinks and supplies for preparing food.

San Luis Group's story

This committee was set up thanks to the initiative of María who lives in 16km Acaray, in Minga Guazú. María contacted her neighbors and friends and set up the committee in her area. The committee is called 'San Luis' and it is currently in its fourth loan cycle with 14 members. The group is well known in the neighborhood for the unity, support and responsibility of its members.

María's business is selling food in a café that she owns. She provides all kinds of meals and drinks to her customers. Her workplace isn't very big but it has a very good reputation as regards its quality and service.

María is requesting this loan to acquire a larger quantity of drinks and supplies for making food. In this way, she hopes to increase her income and improve her quality of life.
