Salima is married to a businessman with seven children, all of whom attend school. She owns a house that has electricity and piped water. Her greatest monthly expense is food for the family.
For the past three years, she has operated a firewood and charcoal selling business, selling from home to her neighbors and passersby. She faces a major challenge of the high cost of transporting charcoal in her business. Salima dreams of establishing a retail shop business in the future.
With the 30,000 Kenyan shillings, she wants to purchase sacks of charcoal for sale. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
