A loan of $675 helped to pay for the harvest and to prepare hay for the winter.

Samvel's story

Samvel was born in 1962 in the city of Kapan. He now lives in the village of Shikahogh. He is married and has two sons. His elder son is twenty years old. He is in his third year at the Gorissky Pedagogical University. The younger son is seventeen, and he studies at the village school. Samvel’s wife is a teacher at the village school. Samvel works as a watchman at the Shikahogh Nature Reserve. He also raises cattle and grows fruits and vegetables. He sells his produce (milk, beef, vegetables, and fruit) at the city market in Kapan. Thanks to the income he gets from his home farm, Samvel supports his family and pays for his older son’s education. Samvel needs a loan for 250,000 Armenian drams for the harvest (for diesel fuel and farming instruments) and to prepare hay for the winter.
