A loan of $1,100 helped to buy more meat to stock her business.

Rocio's story

Rocío, 40, is a very kind, hard working woman. She lives in her own house and what she most wants is to work hard to stand out in life. Selling meat has given Rocío the necessary income to support her family. She has a stand in Market #2 (an important market in the city of Pucallpa) which is very popular because the meat she sells is very fresh and delicious and this has created a good reputation that attracts many customers. What she enjoys the most about her work is advising customers about which meats will most enhance the flavor of their meals. She’s been in business 20 years. Although it is very exhausting and demanding, she has to do it if she wants to earn money. She hopes in time to have a larger butcher shop where she can provide better customer service. This will be her third loan with MFP so she’s hoping to have all of your support. On the other hand, she wants to make her installment payments on time. She is a very active and supportive member of her communal bank which makes her very respected by the other members. She will use the requested 3000 new soles to buy more meat since demand has increased recently.
