A loan of $1,100 helped to purchase meat to restock her business.

Diana's story

Diana, age 27, is a friendly and hardworking woman. She lives in her own home with Pedro, age 30. They have two beloved children, Edith (age 10) and Valentina (age 1), for whom they want to provide a better quality of life. Diana sells meat from a vending stall at the No. 2 Market (the largest market in the city of Pucallpa). Her business is very profitable since she is already well-known among many people. Just about every day, she sells all of the merchandise that she had planned, which makes her extremely happy. Diana knows that the money she earns will help her family have a better life. What she enjoys most about her job is talking with the other merchants about things that are happening at the market. She has been in this business for 10 years and considers the most difficult part to be remaining at her stall and withstanding the intense heat. Diana does not get discouraged, so she continues to press forward. Within time, she hopes to have a large butcher shop outside of the market in order to improve her income.

This will be her third loan with MFP. Diana hopes to receive everyone’s support. She knows that she must submit all of her payments on time so that does not cause problems for the other members of her Communal Bank, where she is well-respected. The loan of 3000 PEN that she requested will be used to buy more meat so that her vending stall can improve in its operation.
