Janet's story

Janet is 34 years old, and has a 3-year-old child with her husband Andrew. For the past 3 years she has been operating a retail shop in Tala town. She gets a profit margin of KES 8,000 per month. With her first loan from KADET LTD Janet plans to buy more washing detergent, cooking oil, maize flour, salt, sugar, soft drinks, and matchboxes to sell. She plans to use the anticipated profits to start selling cereals and to pay her children’s school fees. In the future she hopes to grow her business and own a wholesale shop in Tala town.
