Dananai Group's story

Kudakwashe (in the middle of the photo) is 32 years of age and from the city of Mutare, the capital of Manicaland province in Zimbabwe. She is married with two children aged 6 and 11, both attending school. Kudakwashe runs a business selling clothes, shoes and some electrical goods. The business has been in operation for 4 years. Kudakwashe says the main challenge she faces are late payments from customers. She has requested a loan of $400 to boost her business by buying a selection of warm clothes for resale during the winter months. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to have a better life. In the future, Kudakwashe plans to own a boutique.
