A loan of $1,750 helped a member to buy clothes for resale.

Firdous' Group's story

Firdous is married. Her husband has a business selling clothes. He has recently started this business and is working very hard to establish it. He purchases clothes from different cities and sells to his customers locally to earn profits.
Firdous is a seamstress. She sews clothes for her neighboring clients in order to share the financial burden with her husband. She is also a very good housewife and does her household tasks very well. She is the mother of two sons and three daughters. Her sons work in a clothes shop while her daughters are getting a religious education.
Firdous has applied for a loan from Kiva partner, Asasah, because her husband wants to buy clothes in bulk to expand his business. This will help him offer more variety to his customers and earn better profits. Firdous is hopeful that an investment will help her husband to make more profit and improve his business.
Note: In the photo, the lady with the book (an Asasah Passbook) is Firdous.
