Zonia's story

Mrs. Zonia is a member of the communal bank Las Fresitas [The Little Strawberries] from the district of Yarinacocha and department of Ucayali. She is 53 years old, married, and has two children. She earns a living providing motocar rental services. The rental payments are maD. daily, which allows her to cover basic living expenses in her home.

With her new loan of S/. 2,000.00 nuevos soles, she will pay the mechanic for maintenance of her motocar. She will buy one towing system, two rear tires, 2 chambers, 2 signal lights, one pair of mirrors and 6 light bulbs.

The money she receives each day she keeps for any emergency, and it also is available for making payments to Manuela Ramos. She is only paying for the education of one child since the other is now independent.

She thanks Manuela Ramos for allowing her to have a business by which she can help her son. She only hopes that everything go well.
