A loan of $550 helped to buy kilos of greens and vegetables to stock her business.

Rosenda's story

Rosenda is 34 years old and lives in the small village of Llanco. There she formed a family together with 44 year-old Hugo. They have six beautiful children but only live with four of them in their own home.

As a responsible woman and head of her family, Rosenda gets ahead in the business activity that she was taught as a girl. Farming is her main financial support and the field in which she hopes to achieve her goals. For 10 years, she has been growing potatoes and peas on her farm land, selling her harvests for a good price in the wholesale market in Tarma.

Rosenda also buys and sells vegetables in the town of Pichanaki (in the central Peruvian jungle). She travels there twice a week to sell products from the mountains at a good price. In addition, she receives support from her husband who is working as a laborer in the setting up of an electricity service in her community. This means that Rosenda is in charge of looking after her crops and the children. Rosenda's goal is to save some money and to sow 100 kilos of potatoes and peas. In this way, she will increase her production and be able to provide her children with a better quality of life.

Rosenda is a member of the "Los Ángeles de Llanco" (The Angels of Llanco) community bank and this is her first loan from MFP. She hopes to receive your cooperation in realizing her plans. For her part, she pledges to make her repayments on time. Rosenda enjoys being a member of her community bank because all the members are responsible people who are very supportive of each other. With your support, Rosenda will invest the loan she has requested in buying several kilos of greens and vegetables for her sales business.
