A loan of $850 helped to buy a computer, a printer and wireless phones.

Yesid José's story

Yesid lives with his wife and three children who are aged between 2 and 9. They live in Villa del Carmen neighborhood, in the town of Soledad, which is very near the city of Barranquilla.

Some years ago, Yesid's neighbor decided to close her Internet cafe business and offered it to Yesid, allowing him to pay her in instalments for all the equipment. Yesid took on this opportunity very responsibly. He acquired well-located business premises in his community and started his business venture which he called "Café Internet YESITEL". He says "Thanks to God, it has done very well". In six months he managed to repay his neighbor for the equipment.

Yesid approached Fundación Mario Santo Domingo to apply for a Kiva loan, which is his first loan with our organization, because he would like to continue growing so that he can make more income, improve his family's well-being and provide his children with educational opportunities so that they can be successful in the future.

Yesid will use his Kiva loan to buy a computer, a printer and wireless phones to strengthen his business and start working towards his dream of growing his business.
