Aggée Plus Group's story

Ernest, aged 64, is the leader of the Community Bank named “Aggée Plus,” which is composed of 17 members united in solidarity to receive loans from the MFI (micro-finance institution) HOPE RDC in order to develop their businesses. Ernest runs a pharmacy in the mid-eastern area of Kinshasa. He started his business in 2007. He intends to use the next loan to buy more medicine needed by his customers in his area, to resell with the aim of increasing his profits. Each week, his business brings in a profit of $120. His ambition is to expand his business by opening other drug stores in different places. Ernest is married and has eight children, who are aged between 21 and 38 years old.
