A loan of $3,775 helped a member to stock-up on rice, oil, and onions for resale.

Kawral Group's story

The Kawral Group was created in July of 2008 at the inauguration of their village bank. It is made up of 26 women who are from the same village. Their primary business is petty trading. Madam Néné is in charge of the group. She is 51 years old, married, and the mother of four children. She also looks after three nephews. She sells rice, vegetable and palm oil. She has valuable experience in this area, having practiced this business for many years.

This new loan will allow her to resupply with rice, oil, and onions for resale. With the profits she reaps from her business, she intends to strengthen her shop and support her husband in sending the children to school.
