Las Pioneras Dos Group's story

This is a new community bank which is in its first loan cycle. The group has eight members who all live in La Guardia district but in different neighborhoods. The bank's president is 23 year-old Karen who has lived in the community of La Guardia for 10 years. She is a seamstress and works in the Barrio Lindo market. She has been in this business for five years. Karen is single and she is studying at the moment. She still has no plans to have children since she knows that she couldn't manage with her work and her studies. Karen took out this loan to buy fabric and a sewing machine that she is being offered at a good price. These clients are grateful to our institution for trusting in them and supporting them when they most need it. They are happy and cheerful since it was Mother's Day when they received their loan and they needed it.
