Cecilia's story

Cecilia is a member of the 'Ricardo Palma' community bank which is located in Calleria district, in Ucayali department. She is 42 years old, married, and has three children.

During the eight years that she has been working with Manuela Ramos, Cecilia has been able to open her own small business selling groceries.

With her new loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles, she will buy: 1 crate of milk, 1 packet of flour, 3 trays of eggs, 1 crate of half-liter bottles of oil, 1 bag of detergent, 1 bag of bleach, 1 sack of sugar, 1 sack of rice and 1 bag of noodles.

Cecilia invests all her money in her business so that she can offer more products to her customers. Her husband is a teacher by profession and also helps serve in the business.

It was Manuela Ramos who gave Cecilia the opportunity to start her business and she is grateful to them for having faith in her dream of owning her own business.
