A loan of $375 helped to purchase supplies for preparing her foods.

Petronila's story

Petronila is a 62-year-old woman who has her own living place with running water and electricity, located in the hamlet of Tongorrape in the district of Olmos, and more than an hour away from the province of Chiclayo. The area's inhabitants engage in the farming of crops and livestock.

Some years ago Petronila began earning a living by providing the service of food sales in her small restaurant which she has installed in the front part of her own home in order to better secure it. Her customers are foreigners to the area. With the income she receives she will be able to cover her household costs.

Thus she has requested from Edpyme Alternativa a loan of 1,000 soles in order to purchase supplies for the preparation of her dishes, so she may offer a variety of foods and not just a few. It is also for improving her business's infrastructure so that the people who come to eat there may feel comfortable and satisfied with the service and the business.

Petronila by her work and with her desire to get ahead has earned the confidence and respect of her neighbors, demonstrating the desire to get ahead.
