Maria Mercedes

Mexico
COPAINALÁ, CHIAPAS, Mexico / Grocery Store

A loan of $850 helped to buy merchandise such as sugar, eggs, oil, beans, milk and other products with which to stock her grocery store.

Maria Mercedes's story

María Mercedes lives in Morelia, in Coapilla. She is married to Galileo and they have three children who are still in their care.

This is the third time that María has requested a loan from Fundación Realidad. She will invest her loan in buying merchandise with which to stock her grocery store. She tells us that, in spite of the fact that she has owned her business for just one year, it is doing well and she can see that it is providing her with good results.

María made the decision to start her business as she knew that it was a good business which would make her good income for her household. The loan that she has requested will enable her to continue working.

María's biggest wish is to be able to work (with her business and her loan) in order to build her own savings with which to support her family and get ahead in life.
