Efua's story

Efua is a single parent taking care of five dependents. For the past four years she has sold wakye, a dish made mainly of rice and beans cooked together, in Elmina. Efua uses her income to see to the upkeep of her home.

Efua will use her loan of 800 GHS to purchase beans (as seen in the picture), oil, pepper, tomatoes, rice and other foodstuffs to enable her to cook more for sale.

With the new profits from her expanded business, Efua plans to build a restaurant.
