A loan of $1,000 helped to buy foodstuffs, condiments for stews, fresh fish and drinks.

Félicité's story

Born on July 10, 1976 in Bénin, Félicité is married to a teacher named Noel. The couple have five children. All of them have been or are presently in school and their parents are still responsible for three of them. Félicité lives together with her husband and children. The couple share in supporting the family.

Félicité left her studies when she was in secondary school. To support herself and her children, Félicité prepares food (maize porridge or rice accompanied by fish stew, etc.) that she sells out of her home. Alongside this income-generating activity, Félicité sells non-alcoholic drinks. She buys her supplies in a marketplace in Bénin. She is requesting her third loan from ALIDé. The two other loans were both reimbursed correctly.
