A loan of $1,200 helped purchase natural medicines to stock her business.

Martina's story

Señora Martina is 31 years old and lives in her sister's house in the Morros Blancos neighborhood in the city of Tarija. Because of life circumstances she is a single mother with three children and has to work to provide for her children. For the past 4 years Martina has been packaging natural medicine products that are sold nationally. These medicines are in high demand among the people that know the product because they are naturally prepared. Martina wants to increase her income to get her family ahead. She has to purchase the medicines first before she can sell them. She has an order for several people. Martina has a lot of experience in this job.

Martina is requesting a loan to stock her products so she can meet the high demand, and thereby, increase her income. She tells us that she wants to improve her living conditions and that the next loan that she requests will be used to make improvements to her house.
