A loan of $725 helped to purchase large quantities of poultry meat for sale.

Bercelia's story

Bercelia is a single woman, 60 years of age, who lives in a house of her own with all the basic utilities, located in the district of José Leonardo O. which is also part of the province of Chiclayo. The district's inhabitants work in businesses and providing public transport (taxi and moto-taxi).

Bercelia earns a living buying and selling chicken retail for individuals' consumption in the Modelo market of the city of Chiclayo, a business she has had for approximately ten years. She works every day starting from very early in the morning, for the purpose of having everything ready once the market opens. Thus she is able to serve her customers without delay so that, by the end of her day, she may have the necessary income to cover her personal expenses.

The loan she has requested from Edpyme Alternative is for 2,000 soles. Its purpose is for buying large quantities of chicken to continue selling it to her customers at the market, since she has a stable customer base. Bercelia would like in the future to have a larger business and to be able to sell all kinds of meat at the market, so her quality of life will improve.
